If your keyboard cord is too short to allow you to turn the keyboard all the way around, try turning it sideways so that one of the highest corners is at the edge of the desk, or at least close enough to get an accurate measurement.

You could also find something that is the same height as the highest part of your keyboard, and set it at the front edge of your desk. Or measure the height of your keyboard and add it to the height of your desktop.

Use a yardstick to measure the distance from the top of the highest part of the keyboard to the floor.

Write this measurement on a piece of paper and label it as "top of keyboard to floor". You will be using it later.

Turn your keyboard back around and put it in its usual position.
